Top math students from middle schools around the state competed today for a chance to go to Nationals in May. It was a tense, yet wonderful day for the students. It is so surprising to me that anyone can actually be that smart! These kids rock! The ones that amaze me the most are the ones who don't have to write anything down on paper and can figure out complicated problems in their head. Wow! I'm so happy to have been able to watch these "Mathletes." Math Counts is put on by the Minnesota Society of Professional Engineers and is an event held in states all over the country each year.
